Lover Boy

Where do these feelings come
As you read a poem
On watching the moon
Hearing a song
As though swerving in the wind
Carrying notes in a tune
Never played or heard
What these sprinkles sparkling
From heaven’s unknown bring,
Swirling and singing and dancing
In your lame heart, relentlessly
Churning with sounds of bangles
Of them Gopikas, of gokul
Of nandagaon or reverberating
The sounds of river yamuna's
Droplets of water sprinkling
On the sandy red hair of Krishna
Shining as gold and copper flare
As the rays from sunset bring
The seven colors shining at
every speck of the curly honey like
Curls of His locks reflecting in his
Shining and glittering eyes as He sways
Swinging in the embrace of gopis
And the hugs of Radhika, twining into
Each other’s bend as if the world
Never existed ever.. oh naïve lover boy!
